During discussions with our customer, we identified a crucial problem that is almost inevitable in PVC heat-stitching machines: maintaining proper alignment of the parts being stitched. However, with our technical expertise in welding, we were able to come up with a solution. We developed a machine that can perform high-quality hot-stitching operations, which are typically only possible with much more complicated, sophisticated, and costly machines.
In 2020 we received an order from an Eastern European company specializing in machine tools for a substantial update of the product catalog. After several months of activity, in constant and mutually valuable discussions, we came up with plans for a complete new line of both moving column and fixed gantry machine tools.
An element of distinction between CNC rotary tables can often be traced to stiffness and torque parameters. One of our customers asked us to develop from scratch the design of a rotary table that could handle higher values while still having to be housed within a pre-existing small housing. This is how we took the idea from design to installation.
Rethinking an existing machine to make it more efficient, precise, and fast: the new design challenge that involved a joint collaboration with Tecmu Automazione to meet the demand of an international leader in its sector, was brought into operation a few weeks ago and is already working at full speed. Here's how it works!
Jobs Automazione Spa's request was clear: to automate the pallet change in a large milling machine, also used in the aerospace sector. In a constant discussion with Dante Agosti, Technical Director of the Piacenza company, we have designed a rotary table capable of ensuring top-level performance in terms of torque and stiffness, while maintaining extremely compact dimensions. The result is the TRT1000 milling machine, which has been in operation for a few weeks now.
Our industrial design studio, Pieffe Disegni, turns 20 on July 17, 2020. Step by step, it has grown, daring to question itself and even deal with design challenges that it had never experienced. We wish to thank everyone who helped write such a beautiful and important story.
